Dancing Ledge Langton and Acton October 2016 2016 We had a good turnout for the October walk, which took us out towards Dancing Ledge, and then on a rough circuit of Langton Village taking in part of the Priest's Way and the hamlet of Acton. Many of the walkers took advantage of the abundant Blackberries growing along the way and we found two fungi, which Derek Monk identified as the Willow Shield (Pluteus salicinis) and Lepiota cristata. The former (see photo) is known in the north as the Knackers Crumpet and is hallucogenic. |
